These images are
all composites of 2D and 2D, or 2D and 3D elements.
Compositing two or more ideas into one visual helps me be creative.
I take an image which interests me, then combine it with another in such
a way as to push the boundaries of expectation, and make the environment
look slightly alien or fantastical. T hese images were created by combining 2D images with 3D renders, or 2D images with photographs which I took. I build a concept scene in 3D (Maya, Max or ZBrush), then composite it with 2D imagery, altered photos, and a bit of magic. The software and hardware I use: Photoshop, Maya3D, ZBrush, 3D Studio Max, and both traditional (SLR) and digital photography. I also use traditional art methods. My art has been shown in fine art galleries, computer conferences Siggraph and Eurographics, has been published in industry magazines, is in several private collections. My digital art also appears in several published A list game titles. These games include Forza2 Motorsport, Mechwarrior4, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Lord of the Rings Tactics, Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, and soon, Godfather2.
